| The Mau's exotic spotted appearance and discriminating personality combine for unique feline companionship. Most every animal lover says their breed is "very intelligent" but with Maus, it's not just lip service! Egyptian Maus always astound their new families-- "who ever would have believed a cat could be so smart?" -- the comment comes back time after time. They love to play and are very possessive of their toys, always knowing in just which cupboard they might be stashed, but fair warning-- they can hold a grudge if you dare to cross them! They always accept apolologies with a favorite game of Fetch, tho. |
| While Egyptian Maus like all family members, they tend to often choose one person with whom they form a special bond and will dote on that chosen one. Maus are very athletic and moderately active, sometimes called the "gentle cousin" of the Abbysinian. It should be noted that they often require a longer adjustment period to a new home than some breeds. Upon first arrival, let your kitty come to you, and your patience will be rewarded. |
